East Meets West:

Where Ancient Practice Meets Modern Leadership

What You'll Experience

East Meets West is an invitation to step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with the wisdom that already lives within you. Through ancient contemplative theory and movement practices, modern leadership frameworks, and heartfelt community, you'll cultivate greater clarity, knowledge, and presence to bring back into every area of your life.

❋ Ancient Wisdom

Experience practices that have supported human flourishing for centuries, including Qi Gong, Yoga, Cacao Ceremony, Meditation, and Mindful Reflection.

❋ Modern Leadership

Explore practical tools from Energy Leadership® that help you navigate stress, strengthen emotional intelligence, and lead from greater intention at work and at home.

❋ Nature & Community

Slow down in the beauty of the White Mountains while sharing nourishing meals, meaningful conversations, and authentic connection with others on a similar path.

❋ Integration

Transformation isn't about escaping your life. It's about returning home with practices, perspectives, and routines that continue long after the retreat ends.

Breathe mountain air. Move your body. Quiet your mind. Gather around nourishing meals and meaningful conversations. Rediscover the wisdom that has been waiting beneath the noise, and return home with practices that continue long after the weekend ends.

East Meets West

Where Ancient Practice Meets Modern Leadership

Step away from the noise. Return to resonance.

Some of the world's oldest wisdom traditions invite us to slow down, listen inward, and experience life directly through the body.

Some of the newest discoveries in science help us understand why those practices are so transformative.

What happens when they come together?

Welcome to East Meets West, a four-day immersive retreat where ancient practices meet modern leadership frameworks to cultivate greater presence, knowledge, and authentic connection.

Nestled in the heart of New Hampshire's White Mountains, this experience offers an opportunity to unplug from the pace of everyday life and reconnect with what matters most. Through movement, mindfulness, nature, meaningful conversation, and practical leadership tools, you'll leave with more than memories. You'll return home with practices and perspectives that continue long after the retreat ends.

Meet Your Guides

Rachel Goldberg, JD, CPC, ELI-MP

Rachel is a Certified Professional Coach and Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner whose work centers on helping people reconnect with their authentic selves through awareness, compassion, and intentional action.

Her professional path has woven together law, business, coaching, and ceremony into a uniquely integrative approach to leadership development. After graduating from Skidmore College and earning her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, Rachel spent several years in the corporate world before discovering the transformative impact of Energy Leadership coaching.

For more than a decade, she has helped individuals and teams recognize unconscious patterns, cultivate emotional intelligence, and create lives and organizations that reflect their deepest values. Her coaching combines evidence-based leadership frameworks with intuitive insight, creating a safe and empowering space for lasting transformation.

Alongside her coaching practice, Rachel has spent the past eight years cultivating a ceremonial relationship with cacao, facilitating heart-centered experiences that invite participants to slow down, reconnect, and move from the mind into the wisdom of the heart.

Her gift lies in helping people feel deeply seen while gently guiding them toward greater authenticity, courage, and self-leadership.

Christopher Peña, MBA, CPC, ELI-MP

Christopher is a leadership coach, educator, and wellness practitioner who believes that our greatest leadership potential emerges when we cultivate awareness from within. His journey began in the corporate world, where he spent more than twelve years leading teams and developing people across corporate, nonprofit, entrepreneurial, and community settings.

After earning his bachelor's degree in Management and Finance from Roger Williams University, Chris built his leadership foundation at Target Corporation as an Executive Team Leader. A life-changing spinal injury in 2015 became a turning point, inspiring him to explore the profound relationship between stress, healing, and leadership.

That experience launched a lifelong study of human flourishing. Chris earned certifications in personal training, nutrition, yoga, mindfulness meditation, and Qi Gong, including completing the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach and apprenticing under Master Jesse Lee Parker in the Immortal Arts Qi Gong tradition.

Seeking to unite contemplative practice with organizational leadership, Chris earned his MBA from Roger Williams University and now serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Mario J. Gabelli School of Business, where he teaches emerging leaders how awareness, emotional intelligence, and strategic thinking create sustainable success.

Chris brings a calm, grounded presence to every retreat, helping participants discover that less stress creates more clarity, resilience, compassion, and purpose.
